I was nervous about the university of Scranton’s campus since it’s in the city. Is the campus just one street or are all the buildings scattered through the city?
Most of the buildings are centrally located in the center of campus…while a couple of the others are one block away (Leahy, McGurrin, and Hyland). My sophomore D has had many classes in Leahy and Hyland…never once has she felt unsafe at all on or off campus…and she walks off campus frequently
We walked around the campus at night and felt completely safe, and every student we talked to said they felt safe. Although it’s a city, we have suburban towns here that feel more metropolitan than Scranton.
