There will be pro-life campus preachers at Longwood University, George Washington University, Howard University and Virginia Commonwealth University during the week of Oct. 16 - 20.

These same people from "Open Air Outreach" were at my campus for 2 days. IT DROVE ME CRAZY!! The stood right in the middle of our pedestrian walkway and were loud and obnoxious. They told me and other students who said they were Catholic that we are going to hell because of it.

The sad things is that they couldn't be kicked off campus since this is a public, state institution.

We get the same types in down town SF, tell us to fear everything and unless we do, we are going to hell....one guy carries a sign and talks about homosexual sinners, yelling at teenagers in general, so now whenever my D and their friends, guys and girls see this jerk, they hold hands walking past him....as for the other guys screaming into blowhorns wearing army fatigues, no one pays them much attention at all, pretty much blows them off, its all part of being in the big city

I think that thats crazy when people do that, I realize that they want you to believe what they believe but its not a contest. Its not like Gods in heaven going "Jewish have X amount and Catholic have Y amount but oh the Lutheran are slacking" It drives me nuts, you believe what you want to believe who cares?! Those people that come to your house to try to convert you make me the most upset. If you stop me on the street, thats your buisness its a public street, annoying yes but nothing major, but if you come to my HOUSE and try to sell me what your God thinks I think that is just WRONG. I had someone go to my friends house while she was there giving out their religions bible so she handed them her bible told them to read up and shut the door it was the funniest thing that I had seen in a LONG time. I wish people would just realize that it doesn't matter what you believe in as long as you believe in something. An atheist's count as believers to becuase they believe in not believing. (I used to be one until that point was made to me you have to believe in a God to not believe in.)

Anywho...now that you have my two cents...Hi

When I was in school (many years ago), Brother Jed and Sister Cindy visited our campus. As I walked past them on my way to class one day, they pointed at me and yelled that my short hair had me on a direct path to hell. I couldn't help but laugh and tell them I'd see them there. It became a game for DH (my boyfriend at the time) and his fraternity brothers to exchange words back and forth with them during the week they were on our campus. They were hatemongers just as those Westboro Baptist freaks are.

Turlington Plaza is a hotbed for those poor saps; apparently they never read the verse that says 'judge not lest ye be judged', or something of that nature. although, it was great fun getting into shouting matches with them. You should try it sometime, ASMAJ.

The Gideons will sometimes come to my college, they're pretty nice guys, I've talked with them before. They are really quiet and reserved, they'll just offer about 10-20% of the people walking by a copy of the New Testament (I received one, the New King James Version, nice!).

Once, some girl and her guy friend were walking by and made some smart aleck remark to him, and he didn't let it get to him at all. Just their mere presence seems to enrage liberals, it seems.

again, that word "liberal" what does that MEAN? and how can you tell that a it not a Catholic, or a Jew, or a Muslim that is irritated? can you tell a liberal by how they look, dress?

To me, why are they out there trying to save souls? why not help the living? all that time spent on street corners yelling that we are going to hell because we don't believe in their version of the bible, well, many of those people supposedly going to hell are good, caring, compasionate people who probably do service work somewhere is some shape or form

I was on the bus with my Ds when they were about 5 and 7, two missionaries asked if we had found God, i stated that as a matter of fact we were going to church, they asked which one, I said the Unity Church, well the condiscendging snooty reply I got, as if my church at the time, was somehow lesser than theirs, and if we wanted to go to heaven we needed to be saved or born again or whatever....nice talk

No one in Virginia likes it when you guys come to campuses.
You are inconsiderate to the campus populations.
You talk with megaphones outside academic buildings disrupting classes.
You should use birth control because 10 kids is too many.
You should get a job, because you don't have one.
You should send your kids to school, at least religious school, so they can make friends.
You should not tell people they are going to hell because they go to college. Maybe God taught you everything you wanted to know, but other people want to learn more.
You should buy your kids a book.
You got angry last year when WM kids tried to engage the your kids in coversation... why? Afraid they will see the light?

and most of all...
STOP DRIVING AROUND IN THAT F@@@ING TRUCK WITH THE PICTURES OF DEAD BABIES. Nobody likes it. It doesn't solve any problems. I hope you get arrested everywhere you go.

I have friends on campus who share your beliefs, and even they do not like you. You give people like my friends a bad name.

On the other hand, there are nice old people who show up to our campus once a year and pass out little green bibles. If you don't want to take one, they say nothing. Nobody minds them. I am happy WM is not on your list, we had enough of you last year.

Heh, fortunately I haven't had any experience with people like that since I've been at Duquesne. I guess the Catholic University aspect of it has something to do with it.

At Notre Dame, we had Gideon's distributing bibles. No one really cared that they were doing it. Some just ignored them and went on to class and others just took them. No biggie.

OMG those pictures are afwul! But aren't those babies much too big to have been aborted? I mean, abortion is performed with some sort of a tube. I think these babies are rather stillborn or have been miscarried than aborted. It's impossible to abort babies of that size.

When I used to tailgate down at Ohio State, I would get all tanked up and talk to those guys for like a half an hour. I never remembered what about. Drunk guys and evangelicals, now there is a mix.
