Every time I've called to ask about housing I've gotten a different excuse. I've heard that I'll know about housing 6 different days, and 5 times I've been told "tomorrow". I called this morning (after being told tomorrow, yesterday) and she tells me that the computer is down. I completely feel like I'm being jerked around here. They don't understand that I need time to get my stuff together, nor that I have other obligations that hinge on this fact, nor that it's killing me not to know!

well your not alone. It is not like they are doing it on purpose or something. They are just people trying to accomondate a large number of new students for spring. you are going to get your answer when you get it and calling everyday and being dissapointed is not going to make that happen any faster.

I'm sorry, that sounds like a really crappy situation. I doubt they'd be jerking you around if they knew what was going on though... it would be better if they just told you up-front that they don't know when they'll have an answer, but I'm sure they'd give you the information if they had it. Thing is, they'll probably never tell you flat out that there's no chance of you getting housing--there's always a chance that more people will drop out, more people will live off campus, and people higher up on the waiting list than you are will pass up the housing they're offered, even if it's not likely.

Hopefully, you have an alternate plan for where to live if campus housing doesn't pan out, since at this point I definitely wouldn't be counting on it.

Got housing :D! Living in H quad. The waiting/ordeal is over! Thank god! Now I'm excited to be a student!

Woohoo, congrats! That's fantastic!
