<p>very safe…greenwich village is full of students and tourists
there isnt a rapist or murderer on every corner in manhattan ;P</p>
<p>if it makes u feel better there are “safe havens” scattered across the city where students can just chill out if they ever feel in danger…there is also a lot of public security that just patrol around.</p>
<p>You’ve got NYPD EVERYWHERE in addition to security at every NYU building.</p>

The department is comprised of more than 300 uniformed officers and 45 management personnel. The office operates 24 hours a day servicing 75 NYU related locations.
