Okay so as far as I can tell, this Friday I'll be boarding a plane to fly all the way to St. Louis to visit Wash U. Problem is: I'm not going to attend Wash U. Probably won't even apply. No, disrespect, it's a great school but a financial (and academic?) reach. Still I think it'd be a good opportunity to get a feel for a top notch college campus. Any advice on things to do at the University after the tour? Any input appreciated.

Maybe you can catch a Cardinals game or visit the Gateway Arch?

Check out the Loop (walking distance, north of campus) or the Central West End for shopping and restaurants. Also, see what Forest Park (east of campus) has to offer.

I can’t imagine there’s much to do ON campus right now, given that it’s summer.

Idea: Go see a college you want to attend.

The City Museum.
For sure.

Or the St. Louis Science Center.
