Campus Tour - Kelly Business School

Going down to visit IU this week-end. Will get a campus tour but Kelly Business School does not have tours on Saturday. Do you have suggestions specifically related for the Business school?

Also, have a dorm tour and am thinking Central or Northwest for dorms. I hear Northwest is more of a party area vs the Central. Any suggestions for selection of areas.

Just because it's not on the official tour doesn't mean you can't go into the building. Most campus buildings are open on weekends.

Dont' be surprised if you don't see many students on campus. I suspect most will be sleeping or tailgating...It's Homecoming at IU.

Check out all the floors. THe front elevator only goes to 4 floors, but there's a back elevator that goes to 7.

And careful for the graduate school, when I first went I mistook the graduate school for the undergraduate school hahah. Ohhh man, what a difference in the quality of buildings.

My son was in the Northwest neighborhood during his freshman year--but in hindsight Central might have been better, since the number of parties in his dorm (McNutt) was quite high--and, according to him, distracting.

Even if you are a business major, generally freshmen only take 2 out of their 5 or 6 courses in the business school during each of the first two semesters at IU-B--which is why Central might be better.

On the other hand, my son did have an eight o'clock in the morning class at the business school--and he was very glad to be close by so he could get to that class on-time (well, at least usually on-time).

P.S. You only get to choose your "neighborhood", you don't get to choose your dorm building.
