Campus tours.

How are they done? Do they tour through every school of NYU (should take hours ;-))? Are there separate tours for different schools?

The one that I went on was very brief, I doubt it even lasted half an hour. We went to the Kimmel Center (we went inside and saw the dining hall they have there), the Bobst library (briefly walked in and learned about it), saw a dorm room (Bed Bath and Beyond had pimped it out, I wasn't paying attention to which building it was in), and I think we went to the silver center. Also, we went into a classroom in CAS and got to sit in the desks while the student told us about his classes and the proximity of his dorm and the other dorms to the classes. It wasn't very thorough, but it was enough to give me the "click" and give off the real vibe of what it would feel like to go to school there.

I didn't address this before : there aren't separate tours for separate schools. When I went, they gave us three tour guides to choose from : two from CAS, and one from Tisch. I just went with the one who went to CAS and who was studying the major that I'm leaning towards - it sort of helps if you pick the tour guide who goes to the school you want to go to since they'll probably offer a different perspective to work loads and what classes to take.
