I am currently in between two schools and am visiting both soon. Both schools have great programs for what I want to study, and they match all or most of the things on my list, so I think the biggest deciding factor will be the campus vibe.I was just hoping the cc community could give me some tips on concrete things to look at or ask about on campus in order to fully understand the vibe.

One thing would be to look at the posters in whatever-place-those-are that advertise groups, speakers, events, intramural sports, whatever. This can give you an idea of the most active interest areas, and whether you see yourself interested in those.
And just walking around-- what do the interactions between students look like in the quad/lawn; are they collaborating in the library or other work spaces/coffee bars. Do they look happy? Listen in on some conversations in such places-- do they sound interesting to you?
