Can anyone tell me about the Campus Village apartments? I'm going in as a transfer and will probably end up living there. Do a lot of transfers live there? I don't know anyone at Irvine so I want to live on campus to meet people and hopefully get set up with some cool roomies.

nobody knows about campus village? :(

They have nice parking. I would'nt mind living there.

Hey Cali,

I wouldn't be so distraught about meeting people in CV. Although its the most run down dorms on campus (no offense) its cheap and a great way to meet social people.
Alot of 3rd year transfers live there and there are activities that CV puts on to encourage people to come out of their caves. As far as living conditions, be sure to have a good roommate in CV because u do share a room. I was going to live in CV with 2 other smelly dirty people. If you still can apply for off campus housing as a backup or even the transfer house in Arroyo Vista. AV is a great way to get on the party scene or just relax since its on the more happening side of campus. feel free to pm me with more q's.

i'll be in CV this Fall, (currently in AV) :) they seem alright, don't know about the social life, but i'll be rooming with two frat guys :)

oh cool. Did you like AV? I'll probably be in CV but I'll apply for both. As a transfer, i'm guaranteed on or the other. (still not 100% sure I'm going to UCI though)

I went on a tour for CV a couple of months ago...
I didn't really like it compared to where i'm living right now (AV). The rooms are an ok size but they use loft beds (where the desk is under the bed). The entire apartment themselves seem really old and dirty.. not my kind of living. The kitchen felt like it can only fit one person at a time and everything felt really squished together.

The only reason I would move there would be cause it's really close to the bio buildings (PSLH, sci lib...). the guy who was touring us told us that you can wake up only 5 min before class and still make it on time.

For AV, i'm loving it so far. it's cleaner, newer and feels very homey. if you're in a academic themed house you'll find bunches of study buddies since they probably have the same major/classes as you. You have to take the shuttle to get to campus but that gives you a little bit of extra timefor last minute studying. ohh, and it's only a walk away from the ARC.
