Okay, I'm lazy and I hate walking, especially over the gazillon stairs and hills.

Anybody wanna list their shortcuts?
(Especially if anyone knows shortcuts from the dorms to Bunche... I wanna be able to eat breakfast a little longer...)

Here are my shortcuts:
If going to south campus (from the dorms), I go into the UCLA, take the elevator to the second floor, walk toward Kerckhoff and exit near that cafe / Baskin Robins place. It should lead to the area behind Moore and the tables outside Kerckhoff.

Sometimes if I'm going back to the dorms from south campus, I walk behind Pauley and take the elevator at the tennis courts. (I don't really use this route that much, but alot of De Neve people seem to like it.)

Avoid bruinwalk at all costs.

To get to N. Campus, I always use the walkway along Sunsent (The one just north of Drake and the IM field) and then either catch the stairs at the parking garage between Anderson/Rolf or just cut through Anderson.

If you go into the westernmost building in the Anderson complex there is an elevator you can take to avoid the stairs. Take the third floor for Rolfe and the quad, Fourth floor for Bunche/Broad/Pub Aff/etc.

To avoid that huge set of stairs between covel and Reiber you can walk up the drain just on the side of the staircase (don’t worry it dry). It’s a lot less physically draining.

Elevators aren’t faster. Unless you’re going more than 4 floors down or 3 floors up.

If I’m going to South Campus, I always turn and walk between Pauley and the Morgan Center, then south of CTO and up the stairs between Engineering and Ackerman.

To get to Boelter/MS quickly and easily, walk past Pauley, through the CTO area, then past the bus stations, and go in between Engineering I and Engineering IV. There’s a pedestrian walkway that will lead you to a door into the first floor of Boelter, and an elevator is right inside :)

Not sure where my message went… But for dorms to PAB:

Holy crap that’s a savings of .038 miles !1!1!!!eleventyone!!!1!

buy a segway. be wheel deep in ladies

I think the distance isn’t as important as the time saved. I’m always late for class and some routes have people blocking you everywhere. Having to go into a building or up and down stairs is also a time-waster. I prefer routes with few obstructions where I can zip right to class.

Exactly there… It avoids Bruinwalk mobs, and never do I double back on myself through the steps. Just think, saves a mile a month! That’s about 10 minutes every month that I get back!
