<p>Is the campus pretty contained? Like is it pretty much centered in one area? Or does is sprawl over streets throughout Madison?</p>

<p>Google Earth has a nice birdseye view. The campus is 900 acres, it is centered in one area. The UW website has nice maps also.</p>
<p>About 80% is self-contained campus but it has expanded into nearby areas which are more urban with streets etc. Over time they will make these areas more campus like too. You do have miles of lakefront and a nice park area right on campus (picnic point). So it's some of both and awesome. Also downtown is right adjacent to campus which means no car needed. You can walk everywhere.</p>
