Campus

Does anyone know if Emerson actually has a campus or is it just a bunch of buildings in Boston? I have heard they struggle with housing situations and have had to use hotel rooms in the past…

They do not have a true college campus. The main core buildings are on a city street in a cluster adjoining Boston Common (large public park) and then some other buildings and dorms are at other locations in walking distance. There are no campus greens or definition of where Emerson starts or ends. Emerson is located within blocks of the city’s theater district. It is truly a city setting with no campus.

Though Emerson does not have a typical college campus, I would like to clarify that the campus is very centralized and easy to get around; almost all of the buildings are along the same city block and the newly opened Paramount Center is less than a 5 minute walk away. The college just opened new dormitories in the Paramount Center. With the abundance of student housing the college is trying to make all students live on campus until junior year.
