Campuses with amazing food

Which schools have the highest quality food service on campus (the most like a really good restaurant)?

Princeton really upgraded their dining services this year. It's so much better than it was in the past.

Princeton review has a list...

Yale is sweet -- organic offerings, multiple vegetarian entrees, omelets every morning. You can grab a steak at the Mgt school dining hall for lunch!

Of course, this is only for curiosity's sake right? You're not gonna base any choice decisions on this factor I hope! LOL

Cornell

.

Cornell and Dartmouth I would say. I go to Princeton, and although there are a lot of dining options, we certainly aren't tops in the food department. The Frist Campus center has really good food in its food court, but the residential college dining halls can vary.

Of course, only the Ivies were mentioned since this is CC......

In terms of other schools, I believe it depends on the environment of the college. For example, I toured the University of Florida and they had multiple food-court areas that all looked excellent. There was a very large variety of food. On the other hand, when I visited New College, there is a nice restaurant run by the students that serves a smaller menu but is definitely more unique than the regular food-court style of dining.

UCLA is good too

I wouldn't make this issue a number one priority, but it could be a deal breaker. Fresh. healthy food is really important to our family. If a school offered not much more that uninspired slop predominated by overcooked vegetables, preservatives, artificial flavorings and colorings, I can't imagine my kids surviving there (unless it was in an apartment where they could control their own kitchen).

How is the food at Chicago? I would imagine that there is at least the chance to shop elsewhere there, right?

Interesting. The food rankings mirror the US News rankings. Who would've thunk it.

Sigh. Only on CC.

Look at menus at Whitman College in Washington

http://www.cafebonappetit.com/whitman/
click on one of dining halls at top and then click on menu

Also, here is an article about their philosopy

edit-wrong thread

I would venture to guess that College of the Atlantic has good food.

Tufts University (you know, in MA) has amazing food.

At Wesleyan, I dunno about their normal dining hall, but my friends and I ate at their vegan cafe for lunch when we visited--AMAZING!! Seriously. And I'm an omnivore.

James Madison is supposed to be good.

Bowdoin holllaaaa.

Rice University if you like fries and more fries and more fries

University of Georgia and Va Tech .......both are like a cruise ship!
