So, I didn't do so well during my freshman and sophomore year (average GPA: 2.5) I know that I didn't put that much effort into those two years but my junior year I managed to get a 4.1. Next year I will be taking three AP classes and one honors class. Can I still get into a good university with the grades I recieved during my freshman and sophomore year?

Luckily, a lot of colleges will calculate your GPA using only your Sophmore and Junior years only. Despite this, that doesn’t mean that your Freshman grades will be hidden from them.

What’s your defn of a “good” university? In my definition of a “good” university, you’ll do fine. However it’s time to make an appt w/your guidance counselor for advice on schools that kids with your academics have applied to and been accepted at and enjoyed in the past.
