Can a 9th grade student take SAT II math? Can is consider one of the SAT subject test when apply college in 12th grade?

Yeah it’s counted. As long as you are done with Pre-calc it’s fine.

Many kids take SAT II Math level2 in 9th grade. You definitely can take it if you have finished precalc as Shizzle mentioned.

Yes you could, but why not wait?

I agree with Charlie Brown. I was finished with pre-calc (Algebra II Honors at my school includes both pre-calc and trig) after sophomore year, but I decided I would wait. I figured I would be better off waiting until about midway through AP Calc AB, where I would hone my algebra knowledge. I did this, and it paid dividends, I got an 800 on Math II, which I thoroughly believe would not have happened had I taken the test earlier. I think ninth grade is a bit too early for the SAT or SAT IIs, as most students lack the academic maturity and acuity to succeed. You, however, could be one of the few that is highly mature and motivated for your age, and could do well.

In the end, you’re technically “ready” after taking pre-calculus, but I would wait a bit.
