<p>I took honors geometry in 8th grade and got a C- second semester due to family problems, it really irritates me seeing it on my transcript now, could it hurt my chances getting into a UC? Should I just retake the second semester?</p>
<p>The UCs don’t look at your grades before 10th grade. Don’t worry.</p>
<p>Yeah as long as you didn’t get a D or an F and had to retake it. Most likely wont look at 8th grade. They don’t even care about 9th that much either.</p>
<p>Actually, in fact, UCs don’t look at grades before 10th grade. You don’t need to report them at all as there isn’t any spot to put them on your app.</p>
