Hi, I’m currently a high performing CC student and plan to graduate next year after I finish with 60 credits. I’d love to study abroad for a year at my new college but I’m wondering if this is common? I don’t mind spending a year abroad for senior year either, I’ve lived in Europe before and had an absolute blast and prefer it over America. I know it’s different for every school but I’m asking generally. Thanks for reading!
You may find that your new college requires a certain amount of units to be earned on campus before graduating. It may be easier for you to study abroad in the summer. You might also be surprised that the application deadlines for academic year study abroad programs can be as much as ten months in advance, meaning you’d need to plan now. If you know which college you are transferring to, reach out to their study abroad office as soon as possible.
