Can a CNS major in econ as well?

Hey,

I'm going to be applying to Berkeley next year as a CNS student, but I was wondering if I could still major or minor in Econ as well as Microbiology. I intend to move on to med school after UG, so I was wondering if anyone could comment on:

a. whether this is even possible
b. If doing a double major in this along with premed reqs will be suicide

thanks

CNS actually has an environmental economics major, so you have the options of economics in L&S and economics in CNR. The main difference is that L&S has a more liberal arts focus while CNR has more of a focus on policy. So the answer is that yes, this is possible, and with careful course planning, you will be able to do all three of those things since you can find ways to make a lot of the requirements overlap. However, without planning, this can turn into a nightmare.
