Can a college rescind my acceptance?

Hi so I have applied to a lot of top 50 colleges. I am a straight 4.0 GPA student, and I was wondering, if I get a few Bs this semester and not maintain my 4.0, can my acceptance be rescinded? Also, will I lose scholarship or financial aid if I have a few Bs?

For B’s?? No!

No you will not. If you get a bunch of D’s you will be rescinded.

Someone posted on CC that an Ivy required him to write an essay as to why he got a C in a senior course but they didn’t rescind him.

B’s? No chance; you’re fine.

Hello! I’m sorry for posting in the same thread, but I thought this was a related question. I’m in the IB program and we have a 7-point scale instead of an A-F one. I heard from my counsellor that colleges may rescind acceptances if I drop 6 points out of 45 points (including the extra 3 points from TOK and EE). But that means that if I drop one point from each of my predicted 7’s, making them all 6’s (which would be a drop from around an A+ to a B+), they would rescind my acceptance. Do you think that colleges would do this? Thanks a lot in advance

IB scores are not a factor. Your final transcript is what matters

OP: that’s nutso thinking. You realize that people are getting admitted to those exact same schools with a 3.0 CUMULATIVE GPA, right? You’re paranoid.
