Can a college rescind my admission if I don't send all my AP scores?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently a rising senior learning about the self-reporting system for AP scores and whether you should send scores or not. I know that the general piece of advice is to send in your better scores, especially 4s and 5s. I currently have one 2, one 3, two 4s, and one 5 - I also plan on taking 3 more AP tests next year. I definitely won’t send in my 2, but I’m still debating whether or not I’ll report my 3. For additional context, I have mostly As and a few Bs, pretty good ECs, and I plan on applying to mostly top 20 through top 50 schools, with pretty much all my schools being in the top 100.

I’m really scared of the prospect that I’ll report my choice of scores to schools, (hopefully) get accepted, and then have my admission revoked because the college sees that I’ve hidden scores and done poorly on them. With that being said, I’m still afraid to send in my bad scores, as they may look bad on my application.

Does anyone have advice on this? Can/will schools actually rescind my offer (or even scholarships for that matter) in this type of situation?

No school in the US will revoke an admission based on AP scores.

100% true

You choose which scores to send. You self report, then send official scores once you get accepted and decide where you are going.

This is standard. College Board allows you to withhold any scores you want

If you lie about the scores, you are in trouble. If you just withhold the info no one cares.

Agreed
