<p>The question I have is whether the spouse of the non custodial parent could apply for PLUS. The step whose info is on the FAFSA is permitted and the actual non custodial parent can apply but no mention (and I think it is not permitted) that the spouse of the NCP cannot. It seems odd since the NCP’s info is not on the FAFSA either. it makes sense that the custodial step can since that person’s financial info is all on the FAFSA. But those are the rules as I understand them.</p>
