<p>I would become a Business Admin major but my school doesn't offer that. The next best thing is either a </p>

or
Management Science</p>

<p>Hmmm...can you post what classes you'd take as a management science major vs. an econ major?</p>
<p>Off hand, I'd say if you enjoy math and quantitative work, go for the econ. If you like the more touchy-feely management stuff, go for the management science.</p>

<p>Management Science is basically the same thing as ECON except that it requires harder math and more math. Has a few more UD classes, but other then that its mostly the same.</p>
<p>Anyway, the school I go to is UCSD. I'd really like to get into accounting and financing. Most jobs I look at, the description requires a degree in Accounting, Business, or Financing. Would a degree in Economics qualify?</p>

<p>It likely would qualify, but if you can shoot for the Management Science degree, I think it would be better for you...for one it sounds more rigorous...and that's good for finance/accounting.</p>

<p>I'm just worried, I've heard some people have said that some companies don't take the Management Science major seriously. Do you think that could be a problem?</p>
