Can a good TOEFL/IELTS cover up a poor CR?

need some help here pple

my sat is 2090. math=800, writing=740, CR=560.
Im an international student who will be applying to cornell ED with aid(requiring about 15k)
i am aware that my CR is below par compared to cornell's acceptance percentiles. But i have a 112 on my toefl and a 8 on my ielts. Will these scores be sufficient to cover up my poor CR or will it still be a black mark.
I have given my SAT subject test in Math 2 and Phy ..Hoping to get Math 2..780+ n Phy 750+ definitely.
my ECs are on the higher scale..i have 2 international Olympiad achievements and other national achievements as well.

so will i still suffer because of my low CR?

It will probably have the opposite effect honestly.

High TOEFL low CR = “Oh, this kid speaks English fine, he just sucks at Critical Reading”

Sorry, it’s a problem.

yea…same here…i think doing well on the TOEFL doesn’t mean that the students have the ability to do well on the CR. It’s still not fair. CR is designed for U.S students whose first language is Eng, not for those whose first language isn’t Eng. TOEFL is just way too easy.

Many internationals do way better than average American students on CR based on school taught English.
