Can a Higher Math II Score offset a lower SAT math score?

Exactly what the title asks... can a higher math ii score offset a lower sat math score?

I've been studying for the math ii subject test and have consistently gotten scores of over 740, but I received a 680 on the SAT Math section. Can a higher SAT II math score kind of overshadow the 680? Or should I nonetheless take the SATs again?

It will not as it tests a different kind of knowledge.

Actually yes it will. In fact, colleges will sometimes even superscore substituting the SAT Math section with the Math 2 Subject Test.

^ Really? I’ve never heard of that before. What would be an example of a college that does it?

^My college counselor actually told me that as well. She used to be an admissions officer at Stanford, but I don’t know if she was saying that from personal experience or if she just knew some other colleges did that.
