Can a PRINCESS get into Harvard?

Hello there!!! =] =] =] =] =] =] =] =] =] =]

- 800 dollar scholarship awarded (wowww, $800)

+Varsity Hockey Cheerleader
- Captain junior year
- Designed the t-shirts

+Track and Field
- 100m sprints, I am pretty much the DIVA of my 4x4 team.. we're all princesses
- I brought the water to all the practices and got a youth service credit for it
- Junior Varsity/Varsity (varies)

Peer Tutor

76 Youth Service Credits Hours to this point

Second Most active tutor in the school

LEADERSHIP:
*** Started the Fashion Team***
- We design outfits and make them, and compete against other groups on the team to see who can come up with the best wardrobe. It's serious fail because no one ever comes. One time I was the only person who came to practice, so I had to make fringes alone.
- I have recruited 26 girls. Only about 6 actually come to practice, and that many is rare.
- Meet M, Thu

*** Assisted in organization of "Revelation Week" this fall, which was a program in my school that pushed kids away from trying drugs and alcohol.***
- I had to RAP in front of all the kids at lunch for this, and the freshman boys threw food at me, so I deserve some credit for this.

I'm beastly at algebra.

*** Junior Leadership Committee ***

Key Club-Assistant Chair

RECS: My English teacher from this year said she'll write me a great rec.

ACADEMIC STUFF:
- I want to get a mentor and do some psychological research this summer, since I want to go into that field. It seems like it'd be really interesting to look into something in that field that no one knows about.

sooo...?

Your application looks pretty solid. If you decide you want to send an SAT Score, make sure you try to get it about 2060 if possible. Have you taken the SAT II’s? You seem to have done a number of interesting things. Write passionately about them!

p.s I friend of mine from one of my classes at Harvard is from Alaska.

Thanks so much for replying!!

That’s Crazy! I didn’t think anyone from Alaska ever really went out of state (besides me, of course), let alone Harvard!

Ya, he does crew and is a really nice guy.

Damn, Alaska.

You don’t happen to be related to Palin… lmao just kidding, that was so ignorant.

Honestly, I doubt H gets many applicants from Alaska. And, if on that reason alone, I would say you had pretty good chances.

I’d say your chances are pretty good; just nail the essays.

Where do the cheerleaders stand at a hockey game?

so you’re not a real princess? my friend is the “grandprincess” of jordan.

but you’re actually a pretty interesting applicant that would add something special to their pool (and you’re alaskan!). i would say apply, and make SURE (i cannot stress this enough) that your ESSAY is your voice and is very candid (yet also make sure to get knowledgable people to proofread it)

You’re not a real princess? Then I don’t see you getting into Harvard. I’m sorry.

I agree with the guy above me.

if u’re hot, then yea. if not then automatic reject…jk ;)…just lightening up the application tension. good luck!
