Can a student not taking IB SL tests after IB registration?

My daughter is currently in the 1st year of IB program. She has registered to take 2 IB SL Tests in May. Now she will transfer to a different high school for the next school year and will not continue IB program as the new high school does not offer IB program. She will take multiple AP exams in May and wants to focus on AP exams. As she will not complete IB program due to school transfer, can she just not taking these two IB SL tests this May? If she takes SL tests and not study for them (as she will study for the AP exams and not finish IB anyway), she may get bad scores on the SL tests. Will the IB SL test results ever be sent out to colleges even if she quit IB program? Or maybe she shouldn't even take IB SL tests at all. Any advices will be appreciated. Thanks!

Of course, you need to check with your school, but from research I did a few years ago - there is no requirement to take the IB tests.

If she takes the IB tests, her scores will not be sent to colleges unless she makes arrangements to have this done.

However, some college applications will ask students to self-report their AP or IB scores. Whether it is ethical to omit scores that you don’t want colleges to see is debatable.

Our school only weights IB course grades if the students take the IB exams. So not taking them affects GPA.

No one will see any of her IB test scores unless she finished the diploma and sends the final diploma report and total points to a school. She can take them for practice or if it is a required part of the class - this would not be uncommon. If it will not impact her grade, she can skip them to save energy. You do not need to report all IB and AP scores on your common app anyway. The space is provided but it is not required and colleges aren’t interested in SL exam scores anyway as they don’t count for credits.
