Can a TOEFL score of 113 compensate for a low SAT Reading score (610)?

<p>It’s depend upon the university. For example, if you cannot cross 650/ 700 (again, the university requirement), you need to submit TOEFL. For some, a score of 600+ is golden. So just specify the colleges.</p>

<p>@nitcomp - Hello. Just saw your profile. Your application is good and stats are crossing the bar, but just wanted to say you that I know two people who got to Brown ('14) this year. One was West Bengal ISC topper (& also got 2360) and the other was Tamil Nadu ISC topper (& also got 2380 for which she was upset for not getting 2400). I know that SAT is one of the many factors, but believe me due to cut-throat competition among Internationals for Ivies, stellar SATs have become a requirement. The Ivies are receiving so many great applications and the numbers are always increasing (due to easy online accessibility)…</p>

<p>Yeah, one more thing - Ivies Adcoms don’t weigh the ECs heavily for Int’l (until and unless they are unusual) because they are always exaggerated and Adcoms are very well aware of that (after all they are running some of the best varsities of EARTH). I don’t mean ECs are useless. Just don’t take my words to extremes…</p>
