Can a UC TAG application be denied?

What I really want to know is that if my TAG APPLICATION can be denied because of the major I picked. I know admissions are guaranteed with TAG, but I am afraid my application FOR TAG, not the university, will be rejected. I meet all of the guidelines set by the UC system and UC San Diego. What that means is that I am in good standing, I have a GPA of above 3.5 and meet all of the other qualifications. I was just wondering if they could reject someone FOR TAG because they picked a certain major . I selected computer science, which in a non impacted major. It will become impacted after 2015. The problem is that I don't have all the prerequisites yet. So I was wondering if my TAG APPLICATION could get rejected because of this.

I’m actually in the same situation now. I think our TAGs will be accepted because it doesn’t mention prerequisites anywhere. If you don’t have them complete by the time you transfer, you’ll just be undeclared. You will be admitted to UCSD though (assuming you fulfill the other requirements).

@underbear it wont be automatically undeclared, iv seen plenty of applicants with a gpa >3.5 missing 2 to prerequisites being accepted into their majors.
