Can accepting Federal Work Study reduce your financial aid?

I accepted work study for $1600. Is this going to reduce my financial aid for next year?

no…work study doesn’t count for FAFSA EFC.

No. If your total income is high enough that you have to file a return, the WS income will be included in your AGI that is reported on your return. Your AGI is reported on FAFSA, but you report any part of the AGI that is from WS or taxable scholarships/grants, and those amounts are deducted from the AGI in the EFC formula before your EFC is calculated.
