I’ve had a TI-89 Titanium for a while now, I think 8 years. It’s helpful to solve those complex equations you can’t do by hand. Not as powerful as computer software (I’ve used Maple a bit and it’s much better solving symbolically), but much more convenient. So far in college (3 semesters) the only classes that haven’t allowed it on tests are math classes. (which don’t need a calculator anyway). It’s saved a lot of time in physics, chemistry, and engineering classes when I didn’t have a computer to use.
