can anyone comment on wake's premed program?

I was wondering if anyone has any info on how good YOU PERSONALLY think that Wake's Premed teachers, advisors, etc are. Any information would be great. It would also be nice if possible if someone can give me their placement percentage of it's students into medical school and average MCAT/DAT scores.

Also, I was wondering why Wake seems a bit underrated. It's rank US News is 30, and it's only rated 4 stars academically by the Fiske Guide. So does anyone know why this might be?

That link might answer a few of your questions.

I really like the premed program at Wake. It's a little difficult to talk about the premed teachers, because while there are a number of course you have to take to take the MCATs, there's no premed major. Our premed advisor is very helpful and always sends out e-mails about relevant talks and programs. There are also mentoring programs with both older premeds and medical students at the medical school.

yea, i would have to agree with ginnyvere 100%. i get emails on a weekly basis, if not even more frequently than that, about lectures and other information sessions. Dr. Lane makes sure there are constant activities. i have been very impressed thus far.
