Anyone!!!!!! Please tell me how to do!!!
I got SAT score of 2100 in Oct. Math 800, CR 610, Writing 690
What's more, I got ACT score :29 very very bad in Reading, too
English 28, Math 35, Reading 23, Science 30
Which score will give me a better chance to be admitted by Duke through Early Decision?

I have sent SAT score to Duke already, should I send ACT to Duke?
I just afraid my reading will be the worst in all the applicants.

I hope someone can give me a helping hand!!!!!!!!Thanks!

Send everything and let Duke evaluate.
Congrats on your outstanding SATIIs and make sure you get an attitude that focuses on gaining admission to a school you can afford via your FAFSA that will be eager to have someone with your lopsided talents.

Write essays that speak about what your bring to a group of 18-22 year olds in a community…and get a reference letter from people who are eager to help you shine.

You do realize that many fine fine schools will want you, yes? Don’t hyperfocus on Duke…get going on your back up plan. Duke is one of my son’s alma maters but having seen twenty great colleges in America with two sons…Duke is not superior to many other great communities.

Keep in mind that there are many liberal arts institutions (Grinnell, Bucknell, Wake Forest) that have strong departments in hard sciences and math where you can stand out.

My son was a Duke tour guide and one in four Dukies has an 800 in Math. This is true at a list of other peer institutions as well.

Focus on your essays and your Plan B. You have talent and you will get in a fine college.

Thanks a lot,Faline 2. Thanks for your advice. I am really surprised to learn that you have such excellent sons. You must be very proud of them!
If you don’t mind, can you leave me your e-mail address? So I can contact you to learn more about college admissions. I hope you can give me more advice.
Thanks again.
