Hi, so I applied to most of my regular schools and got accepted from northeaster, deferred from brown and umich.
The problem is that I was going to go on a (educational) trip organized by EF, and I wrote that on the additional writing section in commonapp.
Due to some circumstances, I’m going to have to cancel the tour.
I’ll write a letter to the colleges, but do you think that it would have an impact on the regular schools and my early school decisions??
I’m really stressed out.
And for the letter, how should i write it??

I don’t think it’ll have an impact dont worry about that, as for how to write the letter, I’m sorry but I can’t help. All i can say is, you’ll be fine whatever happens, your acceptances shouldn’t be in jeopardy.
You should talk to your guidance counselor, but my gut is that I’d just let it go – I don’t think there is a need to notify the schools. The essay was written in good faith because you expected to make the trip. Things happen.
