Can anyone help me with one writing problem?

Hi, I got this one wrong, apparently this is difficulty 1..lol

Every August, Cody and Ally vacation in Hiawatha National Forest, (where they enjoy hiking, fishing, and to camp) with their friends.

a)where they enjoy hiking, fishing and to camp
b)where they enjoy hiking, fishing and camping
c)where they enjoy to hike, fish, and camp
d)which they enjoy to hike, fish, and camp at
e)they enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping there.

I chose C.. but answer is B..

why does B sound better than C? Aren't both grammatically correct?

I would explain like this… you ask a question “where they enjoy what?” “what” requires a noun.

Also, to answer your last sentence: study parallelism in sentences; there’s a section on it in the BB.

The problem is the word “enjoy” goes with Gerund ( hiking, playing and camping) so the correct answer is B.
A is wrong because of parallel structure.
C is wrong because enjoy + V ing
D - wrong pronoun which
E … comma splice

PARALLELISM! GO STUDY THAT! it’s ABC’s in SAT writing bro!
I’d say cc blue book explanation is good enough on that one. :D

yea parallelism plus enjoy is idiomatically followed only by verb+ing/ gerund
