Can anyone please give me some feedback

Chance me pleaseeee!
Major: History, Alternate- Women's studies
GPA: 3.4
TAP
Pre reqs- Done for History
IGETC- Will be completed by end of spring
Schools: UCLA, UCSB, UCSD (UCSB and UCSD are TAG)
I have a slight upward trend with a 4.0 in last 10 units, but i also have 6 w's including 2 this semester because of a personal situation. (My dad's lung cancer returned so i had to drop 2 classes but they don't affect any pre reqs or requirements and i addressed it on my uc app.

EC: Work part time, volunteer work at VA Hospital, coaching basketball teams at the rec center, captain of high school basketball team in 10th grade and was VP of red cross club.

Also, for women's studies there is only 1 pre req required. However, each of the four cc's i attended do not offer an equivalent course, so will I be penalized?

I appreciate any feedback :)

Hey, women’s studies is not impacted. You should have a good chance at each school. You won’t be penalized for the missing prereq because it likely isn’t offered at any ccc, if it isn’t offered at the 4 you attended.

ok thanks. I just checked assist.org to see if the pre req is offered at other schools, and i found 3. However, none of them are in my area. Am i required to go to one of those schools that is out of my area, or will the pre req not being offered at the 4 ccs i’ve attended be a valid enough reason for me to get into UCLA?

I can’t imagine you getting into UCLA with a 3.4 but I don’t know how full they are within their women’s studies program. Other than that, you should be okay for UCSD and UCSB.

well i have TAP for UCLA and Women’s Studies is my alternate major. It’s a non impacted major with an average admit GPA of 3.5 last year, with a 51% admit rate so hopefully i have a chance. Thanks for your feedback lmendoza.012 :)

can anyone else help me out?
