Can anyone rank these schools for me please?

Hey its me again but I am hoping if anyone can rank the following schools for me according to the difficulty of acceptance.

Here is my basic circumstance..2.75 uc gpa (high school gpa should be around the same). 3940/4000 sat and medicore ec.

Please don't comment on how impossible some of them are for me as we got over that a long time ago. I just need a list so I need to know which 10 I will apply to ;). thanks for your help in advance!

Purdue

too lazy to do the rest of the UCs

Assuming you're a CA resident, here are five apps you could do:
1. UC app. Shell out ~$600 and send your app to all the UC's;
you qualify by testing alone. If you want to save ~$150 skip Cal, LA, SD
2. You may have a shot at CMU and Purdue
3. Consider Arizona: ASU and U of A
As you say, CSU's and CC's are your safety.

CMU econ? Thought they were top 10 or so? You really think I have a fair shot?!

and ya i was planning to apply to every uc..

btw i won't really want to go to arizona :(

.......................

Dude... either aim high or just go to CC.... go to w/e YOU think is best... w/e you think is happiest.. otherwise, you'll be bored like hell. do NOT aim for any CSU level schools. Such a waste of money... just go to CC and transfer, BUT DOUBT YOU'LL DO THAT SINCE YOU'RE AIMING SO HIGH... MUST HAVE HIGH GPA? jeez... really... do w/e you want, go wherever you want. Up to you. don't go by school ranking.

Apply ED to CMU, admit rates are >40%.
Last year a B avg student from our school went there.

I think that going to a CC in your case might not be a bad idea. After two years there, you'd be able to get into a more competitive school.

Vehement,

The only reason i wrote that on Georgetown was not to mock you but to let you know that i would venture to say that it is THE hardest school to be admitted to out of your list, good luck.

"I think that going to a CC in your case might not be a bad idea. After two years there, you'd be able to get into a more competitive school."

But this student can't get that good of grades-- you have to do better than 2.75 to transfer. Best to aim for a school where you can manage the workload.

Are you an athlete? That could make all the difference.

uva i know u didn't try to belittle me ;)

its jsut that i thought chicago, nw, cal and nyu stern would be so much harder to get into (econ)

and well i WAS in track and won several fobbisea medals in middle school but i didn't bother to join the track in hs....does middleschool accolades count btw?

3940/4000 sat and medicore ec.

I don't understand that SAT score. Can someone explain? Is that the total for CR+M+W+2SAT2's?

Yeah, I think that's right CRMW2SAT2s :-)
Funny thing is, some colleges are going to throw out the W,
and some others (e.g. USC) are going to throw out the 2SAT2s.

Yes thats right.

I seriously hope they throw out the writing...

Vehement,

What's up with the high scores/low gpa?

I don't do UC's -
if we assume you apply to 5 of them, these are my choices from the remaining:

Reed
CMU
Boston
Penn State
Purdue

I am going to be really glad when you get your first acceptance!

i won't hold my breath :p

is reed that good btw?!

to uvaj: don't take HW too slightly..
