Thank you!

Manhattanville and Wheaton

I think Lake Forest in Chicago gives some money to internationals but I’m not sure.

What do you mean by “aren’t impossible” to get into? What are your stats like?

New College of Florida. Public LAC.

teenage_cliche: Um, for students with stats around 2200+ SATs and either 1 or 2/150 ranking. I hesitate to ask for safeties because I’m well aware that no school is a safety for an international asking for aid, so instead I’m asking for a school that is not too selective - as in, likely to take such a student and provide aid. (The need-blind schools are, obviously, reaches for almost everyone).
Thank you, everyone. More suggestions would be very welcome.

Try Macalester in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Big city, strong commitment to international students.

If you are serious about studying in the US and getting financial aid, you need to expand your options to include the schools that are not in urban locations. Many of those provide good financial aid precisely because they want to attract top students-and a more diverse and international population- who might not otherwise consider a rural environment. Grinnell and Oberlin in the Midwest are examples.

Thanks! I already have Grinnell on my list. In fact, my list is basically complete, with high reaches as well as much more realistic options - I’m just looking for 2 more, that would be safeties if I weren’t an international student, with locations that I want. My list has a few basic types, lol - perfect in every way but for acceptance rate, perfect in every way but for acceptance rate and location, realistic yet has the academics I want, realistic but not the location I want, has the location I want but not as wide a variety of academic offerings as I would like…you get the picture. :)

I wouldn’t call Macalester a safety. The acceptance rate is below 50% and those scores and rankings put the OP at the 75% level. Maybe a low match.

Pitzer in Claremont CA

Beloit is 90 minutes from Chicago.

Quasi, I definitely second New College of Florida and Beloit.
