Can anyone recommend some off-campus housings for Fall and Spring terms?

I'm looking for some off-campus housings for Fall and Spring terms, so I'd like to get some advice from you guys.

I'm looking for apartments that meet the following criteria:
1. Rent below $500
2. Individual lease
3. Private bedroom
4. Close to UF
5. Furnished

Can anyone tell me more about the Campus Club, Gainesville Place, University Glades, Lexington Crossing, and Cabana Beach?

Campus Club and Gainesville Place would be my choices. They're pretty nice and fit your criteria. If you have anything specific to ask, I can answer.

Check out this list of apartments near UF:

http://gainesville.collegerentals.com/search/Gainesville/

My daughter chose Oxford Manor on Archer Road...I have no idea why though (other than she liked the woodsy feel of the place).

i think my friend is going to stay at gainesville place and she said it is really nice.

I know Campus Club has rent below $500, but Gainesville Place, Lexington and Cabana Beach are over $500. Gainesville place is $530, Lexington $509 and Cabana Beach $505 [this is rent for a 4bedroom/4bathroom apt furnished]. I'm going to be staying at The Landings, rent is $507 for a 4/4 furnished. It's nice and it's down 13th street and the bus system there runs every 7-10 minutes. I wouldn't choose Cabana because the 20 is the only bus that runs through that area and takes forever to get to and from campus.

UFGators - enjoy the Landings...I know someone who just graduated and LOVED it there. I really tried to convince my daughter to go look at it but...you know how it is. The bus route is the best there. My daughter's apartment is $565/month for 3/3, indiv. lease with only the living and dining area furnished. It includes the utilities and cable tv but not internet. We have to buy her bedroom furniture this summer (or rent from Oxford Manor at an additional cost of $25/mo).

Seiclan- Thanks! :) I'm very excited, I've heard really good reviews for The Landings so I'm really happy. I checked out Oxford Manor and liked it, but I didn't like that you had to rent internet on your own. Also, since I'm doing roommate matching, one of the ladies that works there told me they don't get that large of a pool to pick from so she told me to check out Gainesville Place and Lexington crossing.

I have a question about the rent at these apartments. I know that they have individual leases but on the websites they say for example, http://gainesville.collegerentals.com/details/Gainesville/LexingtonCrossing/ a two bedroom place is 565. Is that per person? Or divided by the two roommates? Just wondering.

per person

DTUBBS,

Most apartments are individual leases, so you have your own contract with the leasing office. Some, however, are under one lease for the whole apartment. So you would have to give them one check for all your roommates whereas at places like Campus Club, you give the office your own check. But in your case, it would be per person since it's an individual lease.
