<p>It's a historically black college/university (HBCU) private institution in Atlanta, GA. In the last 20 years or so Spelman admissions has become quite competitive. For generations it provided a sound education (yes, like many HBCUs it produced many teachers), but lately it has made tremendous strides and has been recognized a truly superior liberal arts college overall.</p>
