When I took my AP Psychology exam in May, I walked out thinking I made a 4 or 5. Sadly I didn't end up with a 3,4, or 5, and this really disappoints me. I remember my essays being very good, and I calculated my score after and got a 4, but very close to a five. Could my exam have been graded wrong?

Since essays are headed by people you never know what scores your actually received. Unfortunately that’s the score you are stuck with.

It is possible (but unlikely) that Collegeboard somehow messed up grading your exam. Some things that might have gone wrong:

They mismatched part of your exam with someone elses

They lost a part of your exam

They messed up on the actual reporting of the score

The only way to see if any of this happened is to request a Multiple Choice Rescore. They will grade your Multiple Choice by hand, but thats it. However, it may lead them to fix whatever error they made in the first place, so its always a good shot.

This is really your only option if you think you got a better score. It happened to my friend, who got her exam rescored and her score improved.

They can be incorrect in rare cases. If you are confident, you can request a MC rescore.
