They're not too clear on the arts supplement pdf and I was wondering what other people were doing.
Slides are so expensive!

Contact admissions to be sure. My son converted his files to slide format in 2004 but things are changing fast.

In general, assume that the best method is to submit any media in the most current format possible. An added touch would be to add an assurance that your media are "virus free." :-) Of course, the ultimate confirmation will come from the respective arts department office, as NPI mentions.

I did slides for everything this year b/c going by last year's guidelines I think like EVERYONE wanted slides except one school... however when I checked the guidelines again (albeit after I had gotten all of my slides ready -_-) a substantial number of them gave you the option of CDs as well. If Princeton doesn't say they definitely want slides for sure then CDs should be fine.

Btw it depends on where you do your slides, there are some places that are ridiculously expensive but I got them processed at Wolf Camera and it wasn't that bad I don't think.

35mm Slides from Digital Camera Images, Art, JPG, PowerPoint - $2/slide - 1-800-296-1885

$2.00 per side from a digital image

If you look online there are places that do it for a buck.

Thank you for taking the time to reply!

Unfortunately I live in France, where it isn't so cheap to get slides made. Moreover, I don't have some of my portfolio pieces with me and there's no way I can "borrow" them from the people who currently own them.
I'll call Princeton later today.

Thanks again!!
