I'm taking the IB full diploma and recently I've been applying to universities but as usual universities say that "Business" itself is not an academic subject but rather an elective.

It seems that it is an elective but can anyone verify it or has taken "IB Business and Management Higher Level" who can answer my question?</p>
<p>Also, if it's really an elective, will the maximum weighted grade be 4.0(instead of 5 for honors(AP or IB))?</p>
