If I apply to multiple universities with common app, does each university see the other universities I have applied too?

Well you do make a list of the colleges you are applying to in the future plans section, but I don’t know.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the list of colleges you are applying in future plans to is simply for sending the forms to the correct colleges. Each college will individually get a copy of your application, and nothing else.

The answer your question is therefore: No

Hope this helps!

^ thats what they all say…

They do not, however some schools like Boston University ask

LOL @ ripemango

who knows haha

Er, I don’t know about the common app. but I know that this a question some interviewers ask…

I think colleges also see what other schools you sent your FAFSA to.

I sent a message directly to common app and asked if a college can see the other colleges I’m applying too, and they told me they can’t. If a university asks what other colleges I have applied too, would anything go wrong if I didn’t tell them that information?

^ oh how did you send a message to them directly? I’ve been trying to find out forever.

If you apply for aid, every school you send the FAFSA to can see the whole list of schools you send it to. I think that’s the only way they know unless you tell them.

Ya, I send them a message and asked. Here’s the reply I got:

Thank you for contacting the Support Team.

Other colleges/universities will not be able to view the other institutions that you have applied to. They will only be able to view your application and any additional information you have provided to the institution.

Again, thank you for contacting us; please do so again if you need additional assistance with this incident.

Regards,
The Support Team

Can’t I send the fafsa to each college separately so that they can’t see the colleges I have applied too?
