Can freshman bring a car?

I know it may not be needed but is it allowed? If so, is it expensive?

Curious. What do you feel you’ll need a car for?
Will you need to have it parked close?
Parking permits, if you can get one, used to be $475 for students (and that was 5 years ago). Frequent moving may be required - for weather alerts, games, etc.
Having a car will be a big hassle.

Here’s a link for parking permits, and the conditions for when one will be granted:

If you want to park on campus, you have to have a specific reason to obtain a permit. For example, if you lived on newton but had multiple leg injuries. Other reasons include being a nursing student with practicum (sophomores and up). So really it’s difficult for freshman to have cars on campus. Unless you want to rent a parking spot off campus from someone.
