<p>I wrote an essay for a certain college in why I want to get into engineering. I want other colleges to see it. Is it okay if copy and paste it in the additional information section with "Why I want to be and Engineer" bold at the top?</p>

<p>You CAN, but you really shouldn’t. This section, as explained in numerous other threads, should be used only to list additional classes, honours, or activities not listed on the rest of your app, or for any explanations about outside circumstances that may have negatively affected your academic or extracurricular life (death in the family, switching high schools, family commitments that make it hard to participate in activities, etc). If you don’t HAVE to write something here, don’t.</p>
<p>I did an extra essay. On the common app, I answered the question about overcoming failure (addressed some poor grades early on and what I did to improve). I felt it was important for me to also say why I wanted to be a nurse, and included that in the additional comments area (where I normally would have addressed my grades, but it was a better fit for the essay question). </p>
