Can I add my name to the incoming student list?

As of today I have been officially readmitted to The University of Alabama. I figured it was about time to finish what I started 22 years ago. Roll Tide!!

Is this a serious post?? You know how you kid… if it is, well the best of luck to you and congrats. Will you be on campus or commuting? :)

Best wishes for you!

Some people will do anything to get a cheap, guaranteed season ticket to 'Bama football.

Me kid? NEVER

But yes, I was being serious. Well not about adding my name, but I have been readmitted to The University as of today and plan on finishing my degree.

I have the option of doing it traditional on campus or via distance learning. I’m leaning on doing it via distance learning at least for the fall so I have more time to get everything situated.

How could one pass up the opportunity to get $5 tickets to the greatest show on earth? Not to mention thousands of 21 year old hot women walking around in short Nike tempo shorts. Just call me Thornton Mellon from now on :-)

Awesome, Mr. Mellon. Truly.

I’ve contacted the registrar’s office on your behalf and they’re going to hold a seat for you in GBA 145 to help get you back up to speed. :)

Omg Congrats
I want to go too! If S only takes 12 credits, can I take the other 6 ;)

Good job, Casino! Are you finishing your undergrad?

Thanks. Yes, it will be to finish my undergrad.

Casinoexec: I was chatting w/a couple neighbors a few days ago that I hadn’t seen in some time. One was telling us her son has decided to go to Syracuse Univ. and how when they went on the tour she wished she could go back to college /live there. I mentioned how many of the parents on this board say that about UA! The other neighbor asked if either of us had heard about several colleges who now offer Senior Housing. The seniors are apparently loving it with the cultural, library, sports, athletic facilities, dining options etc. at their doorsteps. If this happens at UA down the road I told DH we’re there…considering housing is so tight for undergrads not sure that is realistic but imagine the rush of interests if it ever did.
Here are a couple articles I’ve read about it since:
[University-linked retirement communities - Campus Continuum](HugeDomains.com)
[Retirees return to campus living - MSN Real Estate](http://realestate.msn.com/article.aspx?cp-documentid=13107720)

CASINO! This is GREAT!!! ROLL TIDE!!!

Cool Beans CE… Hey, it only took me 17 years and 7 different institutions of higher learning before being bestowed an undergrad, so you are ahead of me… RTR!!!

Awesome! How long do you expect it to take you to complete your degree? Maybe you can walk with some of our kids and we can all have a CC graduation party. Roll Tide!

Congratulations casino! Since you already have quite a few credits, when do you plan on graduating and do you plan on rejoining your fraternity? If no on the latter, maybe their house mother/father position is available.

Roll Tide!!!

Hey trvlbug, this may be what you’re looking for! Capstone Retirement Village…right on campus.

[Capstone Village](http://www.capstonevillage.com/)

I’m thinking 2 years maybe 2 1/2 depending on how much I can handle while working.

While I’d love to relive the early college years I don’t think redoing the fraternity thing is the best thing to do. I’d be the creepy old guy or the really creepy old guy.

2 1/2 gets you 3 Iron Bowls. Close the barn(er) door. It’s a done deal.

As long as Saban’s at UA I might as well go for my Masters while I’m at it (g).

Speaking of matriculation, casino, I understand from my conversation with the registrar that when last at UA you were majoring in Urdu, with a minor in dance. Will you be continuing these pursuits, or will you be changing academic/professional course?

And you’ve met me. My resemblance to Baryshnikov is uncanny. I’m hoping my dance skills will allow me to escape those polish concentration camps.

So I think I’m gonna stay put and take lots of “liberal” arts classes. You know how much I like those people.
