Favorite Band: Chili Peppers

Feed me back!

Yes, based on the fact that your favorite band is Chili Peppers, the admission officers must change their decisions.

In all seriousness, go for it. You seem like you might be on the borderline.

right off the bat you have 6528 out of the 7426 points needed. go here and evaluate for yourself how many more points you have. make sure you calculate it in a strict manner because people can go overboard when calculating it for themselves. one thing we know is you are under 7426. you might be close to the cutoff! if so, i would try to appeal.

here's info on the admissions points:
<a href="http://admissions.ucsd.edu/dev3/info/comreview.html%5B/url%5D">http://admissions.ucsd.edu/dev3/info/comreview.html</a></p>

You could just call them and see how close you were.

Does anyone know how exactly i go about appealing the admission decision?

i called the admissions office and i am about 600-700 pts away from the cut-off (which is around 7435, i believe). is that really far off?

So I called up the admissions office and they said that I had 7,242 points out of a required 7,421. Thats 179 points short. Is this a big gap? Does anyone know about the success rate of appeals?

i think the appeal success rate at sd is 8%

Son-of-Norcal, I would appeal, that's not a big gap.

caligurl_913, 600-700 points is pretty far off.

Eunicycle is right. I don't think I'll appeal. Go Gauchos.
