Can i apply at stanford or harvard with ib !?

<p>Hi!
I am a student from a british boarding school which does the IB and I am now in my first year, however even if I finish next year I will have to apply to Uni to get an offer with my predicted grades which I will get this summer after my mocks. Well, my questions is do Harvard and Stanford accept the IB or do I have to do the SATs as well. And also, do I have to do Toefl if I already have FCE ( first cambridge certificate) ?! </p>

<p>Is there anything else I could do to raise my chances to get into one of the top universities ?
Such as any extra certificates I already have?! Or prizes ?! ... Does it also raise my chances if I speak 4 languages and am studying another one at the moment?! Or is it basically just luck and you only have chance if someone from your family has been to Harvard/Stanford. </p>

<p>IB is really highly regarded at Stanford. Not sure about Harvard. I’m doing IB and I applied to Stanford. I live in France, but I’m a US citizen and so I didn’t have to take the TOEFL or anything, so I couldn’t tell you anything about that, but I did take the SATs and SAT IIs. I’m pretty sure they’re required.
The language factor definitely helps. I speak 2 fluently and I can understand a lot of 4 others, but even just 2 is looked at really well in the States because it isn’t too common over there.</p>
