Can I apply Early Decision to Northwestern AND Early Action to Michigan @ Ann Arbor?

I know for a fact I cannot do Early Action to Michigan + Early Action to Stanford as Stanford's program restricts an applicant to only one Early Action/Decision plan.

I was wondering if Northwestern's is the same or can I apply to both?

Well…I think you would have a problem if both accepted you, given that you are stating NU is your first choice by applying to NU ED…

Yeah, I don’t mind, if Northwestern accepted me I would go there.

But Michigan’s is not binding as far as I know

If thats the case, then I think you should be fine doing both. Just if Northwestern accepts you, you’ll have to turn down Michigan regardless of whatever scholarships or aid Michigan offers you.

Well I am applying as OOS (from cali) so I don’t think Michigan will give financial aid to me

yes you can. i asked ao this mouth

in terms of engineering (mechanical), are they pretty on the same level or is one significantly better than the other?
