Can I apply for a first generation scholarship after my first semester of college?

I decided last minute to attend college and did not look into many scholarships before hand. Neither of my parents went to college, nor did my grandparents; I do have an Aunt who did attain a bachelors degree. Assuming I am a first generation student, is it possible for me to apply for first generation scholarships to cover the costs of my next three years of college? If so, what are some helpful first generation scholarships and aid resources?

not usually, not for students who are already enrolled.
If you will need $$ to be able to go to college for 4 years,I suggest you withdraw, or not enroll, research scholarships and reapply next year.
There is very little merit scholarship $$ available for those who did not apply for them when they first applied to college.

There are no real “first generation scholarships” that can just be applied. They are usually offered by the school themselves, and they don’t pay for everything by any means. Any real $ are offered for high GPA and scores.

Did you get any aid from filing the FAFSA?

Where are you going and when, this fall?

Students looking for aid usually are best served by applying to colleges that will give them aid. Either based on merit or ‘need’. Freshmen get offered the most aid. Sometimes later years you can’t get any.

For outside aid, again most awards are for rising freshmen. However there are ongoing awards often linked to certain characteristics, first gen might be one but much more likely as freshman. You can look for ones associated with your major, with your race sometimes, and all kinds of other things. It can take hours and hours of searching to fit your criteria. Getting 1,000 may be possible, 5,000 rare but do-able, but to ‘cover the costs of my next 3 years’ highly unlikely. That’s why you do a cost search as a freshman.

It may be well worthwhile to apply this fall as a freshman.

I'm currently a junior in a small high school. My graduating class will likely be 14 students. I'm by far, top of the class, I have a 4.9 GPA, we don't weight honors or AP classes at my school. I've been an active member in student government since freshman year and I'm in the national honors society. Despite my decent grades and extracurricular activities, my SAT scores sucked. (I plan to take them in January and again in June.) I got a 1580 in the Spring of my Sophomore year, I'm not quite sure how much that will improve in a year. What are my chances of getting into a University with a good pre-med undergraduate program? Are there any pre-med undergraduate school

Many things do not make sense on the previous post by OP.

This post on August 8th, 2015 was actually for one of my friends. The January post about being a junior (last January) was actually my information.

Don’t use “I” as subject when it is not about you.
